This is more like a residence tower, the individual hotel rooms have been converted to privately owned suites, so if you see one available, each suite will look different inside from others. I found it thru Expedia but they also have a web site you can book direct, or through VRBO. Mine was a decent size with en-suite mini kitchen and full sized fridge. Loved the location across from zoo and a block from beach and it's very close to Diamond Head. The entrance is open to the street with no doors which gives a breezy beautiful feeling to the lobby. It is very safe. Front desk staff is available and very friendly. There is a fast-food type burger joint on main floor with a separate public entrance, and a fun bar on the second floor with open air and great views, music every night, open to public and gay-friendly. There are also many bars and restaurants within one or two blocks easy walking. There is an open-air sun deck on 10th floor only for owners and guests, not the public, with stunning views of diamond head, zoo, beach, and sunrises. The pool is ground level, small, nothing too special, not heated, but would be refreshing on a hot day. Wonderful experience at this location, from, beginning to end.

The hotel location is prime. You are steps away from Waikiki beach and if you have an easy-facing room you can get great views of Diamond Head Peak. I did not stay at the hotel that much as it was my first time to the islands and wanted to explore as much as possible. But the mattress was incredibly comfy and was much needed after a day of hiking and touring. Downsides, my shower drained at an incredibly slow rate. I believe it’s so close to the beach that enough sand has went down the drains to delay slowing. It was pretty gross to shower for dinner and come back after a night of going out with water still in the tub. But if you are LGBTQ, Hula’s is on the second floor and IMO it’s the best gay bar in Waikiki. Overall, I’d stay again!

Incredible views, steps from the ocean and right in the heart of Waikiki. It's a little noisy in the evening but you cannot beat the views and location. Would definitely stay again. Loved my stay at the Waikiki Grand!

For the price this place was great. Clean room with everything we needed to be comfortable during our stay. The location was convenient and the parking availability made it even better. Not to mention the rooftop view. Great front desk management as well.

What an awesome stay! Literally, 134 steps from the beach. Walking distance to 100's of restaurants, bars, and shops. Easy access to the freeway, and easy parking. The staff were very friendly and took care of all of our needs. And the cost didn't break our budget. I highly recommend it!

You can't beat this hotel for the price. If you walk outside and go straight, there's nature. Go right, there's the beach right there. Go around the corner, and there's all kinds of shops and more beach. Go left to explore the city and posh downtown area. There are several bus stops nearby. Currently, it's $3/day unlimited rides. Order your Holo card online before you leave and they'll send it in the mail. Renting a car is fine, but you might have trouble finding parking. The view from your humble balcony is excellent. On the balcony, there is even a small selection of beach toys for you to use. The hotel's decor is a bit dated, but it's also nostalgic. The beds are firm and there's a variety of pillows. The water pressure in the shower is excellent. The kitchenette is very convenient as well.

I had a very comfortable stay at this hotel. The unit has everything one needs for a great stay, including condiments, shower gel, and even beach essentials. The bed was very comfortable, and the patio views are absolutely breathtaking. There is some noise from the street, but given how close the unit is to everything, especially the beautiful beach, it’s a perfect location. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to others.
